Online Marketing Success

Okay, so you probably  know that there are 3 main challenges you face when it comes to growing a successful online business:

1.  Generating traffic

2.  Converting that traffic into a lead

3.  Converting that lead into a sale

If any one of these links is weak, then your business will suffer–there’s no way around that.  We have spent some time in previous posts talking about traffic generation which we’ll continue to work on because that is the origin of all online success.

Let’s talk just briefly about point #2, converting your web visitor into a lead.  This means that they opt in to your list so you can do some relationship building and follow up marketing with them.

A typical opt in rate is right around 3-5%.  If you’re converting 8-10% of your traffic into leads, you’re doing quite well.  But how would it affect your business to boost your opt in rate to over 20%?  It is possible, but only if you master the art of creating specific solutions for your target market.

Your marketing needs to be very strategic to do this.  You have to be clear about who your content is targeting, what problem they are having, and what exact solution you provide.  Let’s say, for instance, that you want to help people in network marketing create success.  Well, if you create generic landing pages for network marketing,  your conversion will never go above that 5-7% mark unless you are just a killer copywriter.

To dramatically increase your conversions, you’d want to create customized landing pages for each little niche you are targeting.  If you want to attract distributors form the Trump Network, you would create a squeeze page that specifically targets the problems people are having within this company.  Your headline would have the name of the company.

Now, if you are in network marketing, this one of the many reasons why I am so fond of the MLM Lead System Pro.  This system allows you to create what are called s1 variables that modify your main landing page to include the specific name of the company you are targeting.  This principle holds true for any business you are marketing online.  Your conversion will increase to the extent that you are offering very specific, targeted solutions for a very specific, targeted audience.

Before you market, always make a list of the specific problems or pains your target market is having.  Then write out a list of the specific solutions you provide.  Then create an opt in form that offers the most tangible, benefit-oriented, and valuable piece of information you can handle giving away for free.  That is how you get insane conversion on your landing pages.
